Toothbrush Tiles
Nothing gets in between tiles better than a toothbrush. Apply the cleaner you wish to use and then use the toothbrush to scrub the grout nice and clean. If you want to opt for a more natural remedy, you can even use baking soda and water to create a paste that also works.
Sprinkle Baking Soda on the Carpet Before You Vacuum
Baking soda helps to absorb odor and can even help absorb oils and wet debris in the carpet. Just sprinkle it and let it sit for 30 min. The take your vacuum and pick up all the dirt, baking soda, and stinky smells.
Use Newspaper to Clean Windows
Newspapers surprisingly leave a nice shine to windows. Apply the cleaner to the glass and then use wadded up newspaper to wipe it clean. This is a great replacement for normal paper towels and some even say its works better.
Use Microwave to Clean Sponges
Don’t let mold and mildew settle on your sponges. Soak them in hot water and dish soap, rinse the well, then zap germs and bacteria by microwaving them for one minute.
Save Produce Netting
The netting for oranges and other produce can be wadded up and used to scrub hard surfaces. Best of all, the netting won’t leave scratches!
Vinegar
Last of all, but not least, remember that vinegar cleans just about everything. Spray it onto counter tops, windows, sinks, and any hard surface that needs cleaning. It cuts through grease and grime. Plus, it’s so cheap so buy a bottle for every room for easy reach.
